Dismal expectations are making the crafting of a two-year state budget the most difficult in recent memory. Appropriations Committee Chair Senator Lavon Heidemann bases that on a three-year revenue prediction expected Friday from the a state economic forecasting board. It’s expected to show flat or even declining revenue and could substantially change the budget. Senator Heidemann says he wouldn’t be surprised if the board forecasts a total revenue drop of $300 million or more over the next few years.
