March 2, 2009 By Bill Pollock

The #3 seed Bellevue University lost to #2 College of the Ozarks in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament 72-54.

Bellevue waits for the rankings to come out today to see if they get into the NAIA national tournament as an at large bid.

The Nebraska basketball team tried to battle back at K-State, but come up short 77-72.  11th time this season, they’ve had a game decided by six points or less.  The Huskers fall to 6-8 in Big 12 play, having lost four of their last five.

Creighton is the 2nd seed in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament and will play Friday at 6pm against the winner of the Missouri State/Wichita State game on Thursday.
