Creighton (26-7) returns to the postseason for a Missouri Valley Conference-record 12th straight season when it hosts Bowling Green (19-13) in first-round action of the MasterCard National Invitation Tournament on Wednesday at 7 pm. Qwest Center Omaha.
The winner of the Creighton/Bowing Green game will face the winner of Tuesday night’s UNLV/Kentucky NIT game. That second-round game would be played in Omaha if Creighton wins on Wednesday night. If Bowling Green wins on Wednesday night, the Falcons would play a road game at the home venue of the UNLV/Kentucky winner.
Creighton University guard Booker Woodfox has accepted an invitation to participate in the 21st Annual College Slam Dunk and Three Point Championships at next month’s Final Four.
