Nine people in a suspected drug ring in Scottsbluff have been charged in a federal indictment. All nine suspects are charged with conspiring to distribute more than 50 grams of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine.
Additional felonies are on the table against three men,19-year-old Miguel Alegre-Arreola, 20-year-old Jose Refujio Gutierrez-Gonzalez and 20-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez also face counts of possession with Intent to Distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, and having over $3,500 in drug money. Gonzalez and Alegre-Arreola are also facing a cocaine charge.
Various other felonies are involved in the case including illegal weapons possession and being in the United States illegally.
The nine were arrested after a major bust by the W.I.N.G. Drug Task Force on February 2 and 3. According to the Scottsbluff County Attorney’s Office the street value of drugs seized during search warrants those days topped $10,000.
