Omaha’s Luke Hochevar made another strong case that he should be with the big league Royals, after he allowed just one unearned run on four hits while striking seven in six innings in the O-Royals 8-1 win in game one over Oklahoma City.
Hochevar is now 4-0 on the year. The O-Royals scored five runs off OKC starter Neftali Feliz, the 20 year old phenom. He threw 50 pitches in that inning. He didn’t have much defensive support him either as all five of the runs he gave up were unearned.
In game two, Oklahoma City scored two runs in the first and it was enough for a 2-1 win. Heath Phillips pitched well giving up just three hits in his five innings of work while striking out five, but the bats were unable to do any damage until the fourth when Kila Ka’ahuie tripled to lead the inning off and scored on a force play.
These two teams wrap up their series Tuesday with a 12:05 first pitch
