With Swine Flu concerns, Nebraskans are being urged to remain vigilent by Nebraska Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joann Schaefer.
“It is an evolving situation that requires people to really be aware. And that’s been our message since day one, stay aware viruses are tricky and disease spread is tricky and when you have a whole country and a whole world that is actually watching the virus as it is evolving in front of us it’s important to stay tuned.”
Dr. Schaefer says they wouldn’t want someone to miss a recommendation that is vital. There is currently one probable case in Douglas County and 8 pending public health tests in Nebraska.
