Creighton baseball had its seven-game road win streak snapped, which was tied for longest in the nation with Texas, when they lost 4-1 to Wichita State, Thursday evening.
Creighton took a 1-0 lead int the 4th, when T.J. Roemmich hit his team-leading ninth home run of the season.
Ryan Jones tied it up in the bottom of the fourth, hitting a solo shot of his own to center. Chance Sossamon hit a two-run homer as well, making it 3-1.
The Shockers added another run in the 5th on a two-out single by Ryan Engrav. The Bluejays and Shockers will play game two of their series on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
