Nebraska Chancellor Harvey Perlman and NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne have agreed that Osborne should stay on as A.D. indefinitely.
Back in 2007, the original plan was to have Osborne stay on until June of 2010. Now the arrangement will be reviewed annually. When it is time for a new successor, Osborne will be involved in the decision making.
In a statement released by the University, Osborne said, “I want to thank Chancellor Perlman for the opportunity to serve as athletic director for a period of time that we both feel comfortable with. I enjoy working with student-athletes, coaches, and other athletic department personnel and hope that together we can serve the people of Nebraska and the university well.”
tom-osborne Osborne says he would like to stay on long enough to see the completion of the Student Life Center. He also says he want to move the Nebraska basketball program into a new practice facility and see major progress on either the Lincoln arena project or renovations for the Devaney Center.
