Arkansas and Cal State-Fullerton will kick off College World Series play at Rosenblatt Stadium on Saturday at 1pm. The game times and pairings for the first two days have been announced. The 63rd MCWS will be played from June 13-23/24.
Saturday’s second game pits one of two first-time MCWS participants, Virginia (48-13-1), against No.3 national seed LSU (51-16), and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (CT)
The doubleheader on Sunday features No. 5 national seed Arizona State (49-12) vs. No. 4 national seed North Carolina (47-16) at 1 p.m. (CT), and the other first-time participant, Southern Miss. (40-24) squaring off against No. 1 national seed Texas (46-14-1) at 6 p.m. (CT)
The losers of Saturday’s two games will play one another at 1 p.m. (CT) on Monday, while Saturday’s winners face off at 6 p.m. (CT) Monday. The losers of Sunday’s games will play each other at 1 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, while Sunday’s winners meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. (CT)
The winners of the two brackets will play best-of-three championship finals, with the first game set for 6 p.m. (CT) on Monday, June 22. The second game is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, June 23, while the third and deciding game (if necessary) is slated for 6 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday, June 24.
