The Lincoln Saltdogs rallied late to tie the game, but lost in 11 innings to the Pensacola Pelicans 3-2. The loss drops Lincoln to 12-23 on the season.
Pensacola scored the winning run against Lincoln reliever Josh Giles (0-1). Luis Guance walked with one out and stole second. After an intentional walk, and a wild pitch put runners to second and third. Giles struck out Adam Deleo, but Dallas Christison singled to left to drive in the game-winner.
Lincoln’s starter Zac Cline allowed just two runs in 6.2 innings but the offense could get just one hit over six innings. The Saltdogs were down 2-0 in the seventh, but pulled to within one on an RBI single from Deacon Burns. In the eighth, Shea McFeely’s two-out RBI single scored Shawn McGill to tie the game at two. McFeely ended the game 2-for-4.
