The Kansas City Chiefs added some depth in their secondary by signing former Husker and Chicago Bears safety Mike Brown.
Brown could compete with Jarrad Page and Bernard Pollard for one of the starting jobs in the Chiefs secondary under new head coach Todd Haley and defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast.
When Brown plays he is good. He made it to the Pro Bowl in 2005 and is the Bears’ all time leader with seven defensive touchdowns. However, Brown is injury prone who has missed several games of the last few seasons, and the Bears were not willing to take a chance on him after his contract ended after last season.
