The St. Paul Saints turned a close game into a blow out Wednesday night as the Lincoln Saltdogs drop their second game in a row losing 15-4. The Dogs grabbed a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning, but St. Paul answered right back in the bottom half of the frame with two runs of their own to re-take the lead 4-3.
After Lincoln came up empty handed in the seventh, St. Paul unloaded on the Saltdogs’ bullpen scoring five runs in the seventh. Then the Saints kept it up in the eighth inning, hanging another six on Lincoln. St. Paul finished with 17 hits handing Brian Campbell the loss.
The series wraps up tonight before the Saltdogs return home to hose Wichita. Each of the three games this weekend will feature 4th of July festivities. Click here for more information.
