15 golfers including defending champ Megan Bartlett and this year’s stroke play champion JC Stevenson, both of Grand Island will headline this week’s women’s amateur match play championship at the Kearney Country Club.
Monday’s play begins with a qualifying round in the morning to determine flights and seedings. The first round of match play will begin Monday afternoon. Tuesday, players in the match-play tournament will play their quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. The match-play championship will be played Wednesday.
The NWAGA Challenge, a two-player, best-ball tournament, will take place in conjunction with the match-play tournament. 36 players will play two rounds Monday and Tuesday, then complete the round-robin in their flight with a single round Wednesday.
