State troopers arrested the drivers of two separate cars on drug charges Tuesday night in south-central Nebraska’s Buffalo County.
A troopers says both cars were speeding on Interstate 80 near the Shelton interchange and he pulled them over. He smelled marijuana and spotted some on the seat of one of the cars, so a K-9 unit was brought in. The dog led officers to the trunk and three bales of marijuana weighing 116 pounds.
The cars were traveling together and the patrol charged both drivers — 42-year-old Victoria Gregory of Bay Shore, New York, and 27-year-old Lonnie Walker of Palm Bay, Florida. They were believed to be headed from Phoenix, Arizona, to Long Island, New York.
