The Lincoln Saltdogs bats were still on the All-Star break, as St. Paul starter Mitch Wylie allowed just three hits in seven innings as the Lincoln lost 10-0 to the St. Paul Saints. Wylie set down the first 12 Saltdogs he faced. Lincoln’s only threat came in the ninth when the loaded the bases.
St. Paul, took advantage of Lincoln starter Jim Paduch who walked six batters between the second and fourth innings. The Saints scored single runs in the second, third and fourth innings to take the early lead. St. Paul, broke the game open in the seventh, scoring six times against the Lincoln bullpen.
