The Lincoln Saltdogs staged a late rally on Friday, stunning the St. Paul Saints 5-3. Trailing 3-1 in the eighth, Lincoln scored four runs to turn the game around. With runners on second and third and one out, pinch-hitter Deacon Burns hit an infield single off St. Paul reliever Mike Bille (1-5) to cut the Saints’ lead to one.
Josh Burrus followed with an RBI single to tie the game at three, and Albenis Machado’s RBI groundout scored Burns to give Lincoln the lead for the first time all night. Three batters later, Shawn McGill drew a bases-loaded walk for the final run of the night.
