Natalie Willer and Jessica Furlan who both compete for the University of Nebraska won medals at the Pan Am Junior Games this past weekend.
Willer, of Elkhorn, Neb. won the women’s pole vault with a meet-record vault of 14-1 1/4. Furlan took bronze in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:56.22 last night. Furlan is a native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Team USA, led with a meet high of 57 medals, with Brazil finishing a distance second to Team USA with 16 medals.
