A judge has ruled prosecutors can present evidence of two alleged drug deals during the upcoming murder trial of former Nebraska football player Thunder Collins which is set to begin on Monday. Collins’ trial is brought up on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, after a shooting last September in Omaha that left a California man dead and another wounded.
Prosecutors will have to prove Collins had motive for attempting to rob two men of their drugs. Prosecutors will show that Collins met with the two men three different times last summer. Collins is claiming he was not involved in the murder or drug dealing.
