The 2009 MCAC Women’s Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ Poll was released Monday (Aug. 17) with Bellevue University favored to claim the conference championship. Bellevue, the 2008 MCAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion, advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in 2008 earning a No. 4 final national ranking with a 32-6 overall record.
College of the Ozarks was picked second by the MCAC coaches after going 29-8 (12-2 MCAC) last season, while Peru State College earned the No. 3 position in the poll (19-11 overall, 10-4 MCAC in 2008).
Rounding out the preseason rankings are College of Saint Mary (4th), Haskell Indian Nations University (5th), Oklahoma Wesleyan University (6th), Central Christian College (t-7th) and York College (t-7th).
