Do death panels really exist? That is one of the questions directed to 1st District Congressman Jeff Fortenberry at a town hall meeting on health care at the People’s City Mission in Lincoln. Fortenberry says they don’t exist, but says people should be aware of questions that are already asked of veterans.
“Do you have the blues, What would you do if you were a vegetable, Are you depressed, Do you feel you are a burden and the only reason I say that is that is in a document the Government has out now called your life and your choices, you who are veterans, it has a checklist of things.”
Fortenberry spent nearly 20 minutes talking about putting wellness first and the Republican says he is not in favor of a public option for health care.
