Lincoln Public Schools officials will leave it up to individual schools if they will participate in a Presidential speech to students on Tuesday. Director of Curriculum Barb Jacobson tells us, the decision will be made in the schools.
President Obama is expected to talk about hard work in the classroom and the importance of staying in school. Jacobson says parents can ask that their children don’t participate if they choose.
Dozens of calls from parents have come into the Lincoln Public Schools district office and many more to individual schools about President Obama’s speech to students.
