A new perk of privacy with lactation spaces at UNL. Beginning September 10 dozens of breast feeding areas will be available campus wide. Chancellor Harvey Perlman says “The University of Nebraska-Lincoln recognizes the importance of supporting new mothers who want to continue to breastfeed while they work or attend school.”
The school is offering two types of lactation rooms, one semi private that is accessible instantly. Another is a private room can be accessed by key. UNL says there will be access to a facility within 5 or 10 minutes walking anywhere on campus. Additionally university housing is offering a limited number of refridgerators to use for milk storage.
