Voters in the Ogallala Public School district are headed to the polls today to vote on a 30.6 million dollar school bond issue.
The money would be used to build a new high school, renovate the current high school to house the middle school students, and expand one of the elementary schools to house all elementary students.
Currently the district has a building for kindergarten, a building for 1st and 2nd grades and another building for 3rd through 5th grades.
Some of the buildings in the district are more than 80 years old. At least 2 of the buildings in the district will be demolished if the bond issue passes.
