The Nebraska volleyball team starts a two match road trip with a tough challenge against an experienced squad on their home court. The Huskers, 9th in the AVCA Coaches face #19 Baylor tonight at 7 p.m.
The Huskers (12-4, 5-2 Big 12) have won three straight including a home sweep over Kansas State this past weekend. The Huskers hit .319 as a team, and had five players finish with at least seven kills. Tonight, though, head coach John Cook says this match game will be a test to prove the Huskers belong in the top half of the Big 12.
In what may have been their best match of the year, or at least the most balanced, Sydney Anderson dished out 35 assists, while Tara Mueller and Hannah Werth led the Huskers with 10 kills apiece. Middle blockers Kori Cooper and Brook Delano combined for 14 kills and nine blocks.
Cook also says the team feels like they made strides this past week. Highlights from John Cook’s Tuesday Press Conference.
