The High School Boys State Tennis Tournament starts Thursday morning at the Koch Family Tennis Center in Omaha. Omaha Creighton Prep in Class A and Lincoln Pius X in Class B are favorites to repeat as state champions. Creighton Prep is actually looking for their 8th title in nine years. In Class A, two-time defending champion Omaha Burke junior, Jackson Withrow is seeded No. 1 with an 89-1 career record. Withrow’s lone loss came this year against the number two see. First round action for Class A starts at 8 a.m., and Class B starts at 1p.m. as courts are made available. The semifinals and championship matches will be played on Friday.
