On Tuesday, Husker volleyball coach John Cook said these next two road matches were vital to his team if they wanted to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the Big 12. Wednesday night at Baylor, they took that first step as the 7th ranked Huskers swept the 19th ranked Bears 28-26, 25-17, 25-17.
Hannah Werth led the Huskers with a match high 13 kills as Brooke Delano followed with 10 kills on .500 hitting to go along with four blocks. Kori Cooper had 10 kills, Lindsey Licht had nine kills with five blocks and Tara Mueller finished with eight kills and five digs. Sydney Anderson had 39 digs and 10 kills. It was her 10th double double of the season. The win moves the Huskers to 13-4 over and 5-2 in the Big 12. The Huskers travel to Missouri this Saturday.
