The Nebraska Kearney Lopers moved up five spots in the latest AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division II poll while remaining 6th in Super Region 3; these rankings determine the six teams that will make the 24-team Division II playoffs in November.
I had time this week to speak with head coach Darrell Morris. Following their 59-14 win at Ft. Lewis, the Lopers have won eight in a row scoring 220 points in the last four games.
The Lopers final two games may be the toughest of their season taking on Colorado School of Mines who also has an unbeaten conference record this Saturday at home. The Lopers will finish the record season Mesa State who is 5-2 and in third place in the conference.
