Wrestling–7th ranked Huskers handle #11 Wisconsin

The 7th ranked Huskers wrestling squad pulled away in the final match when senior Stephen Dwyer got a pin in the 174 lb. match to pull out the victory of 11th ranked Wisconsin 26-17 on Sunday afternoon. Dwyer is ranked sixth in the nation and broke the 3-3 tie with a pin in the third period over Brendan Ard. The Huskers won 6 of the 10 matches.

184-Ihnen (NU) wins by decision, 6-1
197-Brester (NU) wins by major decision, 14-2
HWT-Lane (NU) wins by decision, 4-3
125-Hammen (UW) wins by decision, 5-2
133-Graff (UW) wins by tech fall, 26-10
141-Koehnlein (NU) wins by major decision, 12-2
149-Ruschell (UW) wins by major decision, 12-3
157-Burroughs (NU) wins by fall (0:25)
165-Howe (UW) wins by fall (6:24)
174-Dwyer (NU) wins by fall (5:25)

Nebraska will now send Jordan Burroughs and Craig Bretser along with Dwyer to the 44th annual NWCA All-Star Classic, in Fullerton, Calif., next Sunday, Nov. 22. At the same time, the rest of the team will travel down I-80 to the Kaufman-Brand Open in Omaha, Neb., on Saturday, Nov. 21.
