State Auditor Mike Foley says their audit of Lancaster Manor shows that over the two most recent years of operation the Manor has lost about two million dollars. Foley says the loss of revenue in the last two years comes in stark contrast to previous years when the manor was always in the black.
Commissioner Ray Stevens questions Foley’s recommendation for an appraisal update before selling the manor. Stevens says that isn’t the advice they got from the previous appraiser.
Foley says his audit also determined that if and when the manor is sold the county will have to pay the state about 5.6 million dollars of the sales proceeds
