Lincoln is among four cities selected for future new Nebraska Health and Human Services customer service centers. Director for Children and Family Services Todd Reckling tells us that the idea is similar to what the private industry has been doing for years.
“Such as you’re familiar with banking insurance, instead of having one agent assigned to you can call in and have your needs met with the staff available at the customer service center and that is the same thing we will do with our customer service programs.
Lincoln’s location at 340 Victory Lane will be staffed by 100 employees. The centers are the third phase of an effort to modernize service delivery through increased use of technology, changes in policy and other work efficiency improvements. The other cities selected for the service centers are Lexington, Scottsbluff, and Fremont.
