The latest report from the Foster Care review board is out and it does contain some good news. Carol Stitt is the executive director of the Foster Care Review board.
“One of the real positives we noted were the major increase in adoptions in the Foster care system, right at 572 children were adopted and that’s up from 320 in 2003.”
However, problems remain in the State’s Foster Care system. Stitt says in the 80’s the rate of children not being sent back from Foster homes was four-percent, now it’s forty percent.
