There was never any fear of a letdown from the Husker women’s big win over LSU. Backed by a perfect performance from Kelsey Griffin, the Huskers beat Albany 88-41 Wednesday afternoon.
Griffin scored 27 points and didn’t miss a shot going 16 for 16 for the #13 Huskers. This may be the greatest shooting effort for a Husker at home. This game was never in doubt as NU had a 53-24 lead at the half and built their lead to 51 after their started the second half scoring the first 18 points.
Back to Griffin. She was 9-for-9 from the floor including two three-pointers and also 7-for-7 at the line, and pulled down seven rebounds while adding three steals. Griffin scored 18 of her points in the first half to carry NU to a 29-point first-half lead.
