Some streets in Omaha are like driving an obstacle course. Potholes are popping up all over the city. Omaha Street Maintaince Division Manager Scott McIntyre says crews are out working on them. They do have to take a break on Wednesday as they can’t fill potholes during snowfall but crews will be back out on New Year’s Eve.
McIntyre says they are also working on removing snow wind-rows and snow piles left over from the Christmas Blizzard. Hitting a pothole can damage a vehicle and cause blown tires. He says potholes are considered normal winter driving conditions and the city is not liable for damage done to a vehicle.
