As economic uncertainty looms, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman is trying to shift focus to Nebraska’s financial health compared to other states.
“As a result we are positioned to continue moving Nebraska forward, my focus for the new year is to position Nebraska for new opportunities.”
Heineman also said during his annual State of the State address on Thursday that the next 12 to 18 months will be a time of
uncertainty for our economy. Nebraska’s own budget woes are a reason for Heineman’s largely stay the course agenda.
Nebraska lawmakers and Heineman recently dug the state out of a $334 million, two year budget hole.
