The No. 7 Nebraska women’s basketball team takes aim at its school-record 17th straight win while trying to extend its home winning streak to 14 games when the Huskers collide with Big 12 North Division rival Kansas State on Saturday at the Devaney Center.
Tip-off between the Huskers (16-0, 3-0 Big 12) and Wildcats (10-8, 2-2 Big 12) is set for 11 a.m. with a special Pepsi Pack the House promotion promising a big crowd. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for just $1 and also receive $1 Pepsi 24-oz. fountain drinks at the concession stands. Tickets are available on Huskers.com or by calling 1-800-8-BIG-RED. Tickets will also be available at the door on the morning of the game, but fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to avoid lines at the doors.
Fresh off one of the biggest road wins in school history with a 65-56 win at No. 9 Baylor on Sunday, the Huskers are hoping to provide an electric environment for another live national television audience on Fox Sports Net. Brent Stover and Debbie Antonelli will have the call on FSN for Nebraska’s second straight national TV contest.

All-America candidate Kelsey Griffin has claimed national attention for her performances so far this season. The 6-2 forward from Eagle River, Alaska, has averaged 18.8 points and a Big 12-leading 10.3 rebounds per game, while ranking eighth nationally with her 60.3 field goal percentage. Griffin owns eight double-doubles, seven scoring performances of 25 or more points and 10 double-figure rebounding efforts. She also leads Nebraska with 29 steals and 14 charges drawn on the year.
Fellow senior Cory Montgomery gives the Huskers one of the most productive and experienced forward duos in the nation, as she averages 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The 6-2 native of Cannon Falls, Minn., has hit 52 percent of her shots from the field, including 44.2 percent (19-43) of her three-point attempts.
Senior guard Yvonne Turner is the reigning Big 12 Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 5.5 threes per game in wins over No. 9 Baylor and No. 19 Texas last week.
