There has been another H1N1 flu death in Nebraska. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services made the announcement today.
“This is yet another sad reminder that H1N1 can be a very illness and I offer my condolences to the family.”
Nebraska’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joann Schafer says major flu activity has stalled for now but it could pick up once again.
“Although we are not seeing a lot of flu activity right now, the traditional flu season is far from over. Flu viruses still have the potential to pick up the pace.”
The latest H1N1 victim is a man in his 30’s from Douglas County. Health officials say he did have underlying health conditions. His name has not been released. This is the 15th H1N1 flu death in Nebraska.
