The Nebraska men’s basketball team held Oklahoma to its fewest points of the season and picked up their first Big 12 win of the year going wire to wire for a 63-46 victory Saturday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The Huskers opened up a close game with less than three minutes remaining in the first half. Up 21-20, NU went on a 10-0 run over the end of the first half and :46 into the second. With NU up 35-22 with 17:33 to play, Oklahoma hit a pair of three-pointers to cut the lead seven, but Brandon Richardson scored seven points in 1:21 span to push the lead to 44-30 with 13 minutes remaining.
Richardson led NU with 16 points as three Huskers scored in double figures including Ryan Anderson who had 11 and Brian Jorge Diaz who had 10. The Huskers will host 13th ranked K-State on Tuesday.
