It was another double-double for All-American candidate Kelsey Griffin as she scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds in helping NU reach 21 wins with a 71-60 win over 12th ranked Texas A & M in front of almost 11,000 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Griffin made 7-of-12 shots from the field and 7-of-8 free throws, to go along with three steals, a blocked shot and an assist. Griffin was big in the last few minutes of the game scoring six points to hold off the Aggies who cut the lead to five at 65-60 with 3:06 to play.
It looked like it would be a laugher as NU went on a 12-0 run to open a 10 point lead two minutes into the game and were up 40-29 at the half. The Huskers led by as many as 12 points two times in the first half.
