Texas freshman Avery Bradley hit five three-pointers in the first half and finished with 25 points to lead five Longhorns in double figures as #14 Texas beat Nebraska, 91-51, on Saturday in Austin. The Huskers are 13-12, 1-9 in Big 12 action.
The Longhorns jumped to a 10-2 lead but Huskers cut the deficit to 15-11, on a pair of Ryan Anderson free throws with just over 14:30 to play in the half, but then the Longhorns pulled away. Texas went ahead 21-12 on Bradley’s third three of the game. Bradley along was 5-of-7 while NU was just 3-of-12 on three pointers.
Bradley and Gary Johnson led Texas on a 20-0 run in a span of less than five minutes to really blow the game open in the first half. Ryan Anderson led the Huskers with nine points but shot just 2-of-9 from the floor.
