It was thrilling weekend of basketball at the Devaney Center on Saturday. The Nebraska men used an 18-0 run in the second half to rally from a 10 point deficit to force overtime, then win in the second OT session 83-79 over Texas Tech.
The Huskers were down by as many as 14 points in the first half and trailed by 10 with just under 12 minutes to play. The Huskers, so many times this year have come up short when trying to rally or finish off games but managed to chip away at that lead and go up by eight. As before, it looked like another defeat as Tech finished on a 10-2 run to force overtime.
After Tech missed a shot to win the game at the buzzer in the first overtime, Sek Henry provided the heroics for the win with seven straight points for the Huskers in the second OT.
The win snapped a seven-game conference losing streak for NU (14-15, 2-12) and a three-game losing streak at home. The 14-point deficit overcome was the second-largest deficit Nebraska has come back from in the Big 12 era.
