A local utility that serves a portion of eastern Nebraska is locating a new corporate office in Papillion. Steve Pella is the vice president of natural gas utilities for Black Hills Energy and says the new facility will be built in the Papillion Technology Park.
Pella says construction should start in the second quarter and it will take about a year to complete. The office is currently located in downtown Omaha and 150 employees will move to the new facility once it is open.
Papillion Mayor David Black is pleased to welcome Black Hills Corp. to the city. He says their service center is a natural fit to the Technology Park on South 72nd and East First Streets. Black also stated he is looking forward to expanding the partnership and welcomes their employees to the city.
