NU softball swept at Texas

#15 Texas had to battle their way to a 4-1 win on Sunday, after beating Nebraska 9-0 on Saturday, but the Longhorns completed the two game sweep over Nebraska in the opening weekend of Big 12 play for both softball teams.

Junior Robin Mackin lost both game to fall to 7-7 on the season. Mackin worked out of several jams in the game on Sunday, as Texas stranded 10 runners on base. In a complete game, Mackin allowed four runs on nine hits, while striking out six and walking three. The Huskers are 15-17 overall and 0-2 in the Big 12.

Blaire Luna moved to 15-4 as she won both games for Texas who is now 26-8 overall, and 2-0 in Big 12. Luna threw a two hitter and allowed only one run. She walked four but struck out 14.
