The Nebraska baseball team is back home Tuesday night to take on the Wichita State Shockers at Hawks Field in the start of a four game home stand and in the middle of a string of seven straight games against teams from the state of Kansas.
The Shockers are 21-10, but just 8-13 on the road. They have faced some tough out of conference competition and are leading the Missouri Valley Conference with 20 players returning from last year’s team.
Keep an eye on freshmen shortstop Chad Christensen. He is hitting .421 with six homers and 14 RBIs and brings a 10-game hit streak into Tuesday’s game. He went 6 for 11 in the K-State series.
