The Nebraska men’s golf team ended its regular season with a second tournament title of the spring, as the Huskers nipped Kansas State by one stroke for the team title at the Mizzou Intercollegiate at The Club at Old Hawthorne on Tuesday. NU shot a final round best 285 and the total of 857 (-7).
Senior Brandon Crick was tied for first but lost on the fourth playoff hole to the Wildcats’ Curtis Yonke. Crick and Yonke entered the day as part of a four-way tie for the lead, but both shot 71s to put them at 211 (-5) for the tournament. The finish marked Crick’s fifth top-five finish this year and third in the top three.
After a four-year drought without a tournament win, the Huskers have won two in a one-month span. The Big 12 Championships begin next Friday, April 23.
