The Fargo Force scored four goals in the third period and dropped the Omaha Lancers 4-2 Saturday evening at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Game 2 of the West Division Finals. The series is now tied at one game apiece with Game 3 scheduled for Wednesday evening in Fargo.
The Lancers shutout the Force in Game 1 on Friday with goalie Jeff Teglia stopping all 24 shots. The Lancers held the Force scoreless for 101:59.
Fargo evened the game at 1-1 a little over two minutes into the third period when, while on the power play, Nate Condon went end to end before scoring in his second goal of the postseason. The Force then grabbed their first lead of the night just five and a half minutes later when Matt Leitner lifted his fourth goal of the playoffs under the cross bar giving Fargo a 2-1 lead. Fargo then built its lead to 3-1 when Corey Leivermann converted on a three-on-two for the eventual game-winning goal.
The Lancers are back in action Wednesday evening when they head up north to the Urban Plains Center in Fargo for Game 3 of the West Division Finals
