Employees and supporters of Visinet, an agency that had a state contract to help foster families, is rallying at the State Capital this evening at 5-30. Visinet employee Tyler Newton tells us he just wants a state official to step in and intervene.
“It’s not just us that we want helped out, we want the children to receive the services that are owed to them, we want support to be ongoing for those agencies that are still in place….we just want to make sure that this doesn’t happen again, that someone intervenes and corrects the situation before more people fall into the disarray that we’re in.”
According to Newton, the C-F-O of Visinet is blaming the state for not providing one million dollars in promised support.
