Day One is complete at the 2010 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Baseball Championship in Mitchell, South Dakota. Dakota Wesleyan is the host for the three day event at Cadwell Park and Drake Field. On Thursday Morningside and Northwestern each won two games and are the two undefeated teams left. Mount Marty, Dakota Wesleyan, Doane, and Hastings are all 1-1. Sioux Falls and Concordia each went 0-2 and were eliminated from the tournament.
The GPAC Tournament Champion receives an automatic berth to the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round. If Mount Marty wins the GPAC Tournament, the tournament runner-up will secure the second automatic bid.
In softball, top seed Morningside and three seed Hastings both went 2-0 on day one at the 2010 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Championship in Hastings, Nebraska. The tournament is being played at the Smith Softball Complex and is being hosted by Hastings College. Nebraska Wesleyan, Midland Lutheran, Dana, and Concordia each went 1-1 on day one. Dordt and Doane were eliminated with 0-2 records.
