The state’s April revenue numbers did not meet the forecasted projections, and that means the state’s deficit is growing. April net receipts were were more than 14.5% shorty of projections equaling nearly $52 million.

Governor Heineman released a statement saying he is disappointed in the April numbers, but says there are indications of an improving economy.
