The Reno Aces rallied from a three run deficit to come back and beat the Omaha Royals 4-3 in eleven innings.
Third baseman Yunesky Sanchez grounded a two-out, bases loaded single off of losing pitcher Victor Marte to make the Aces a winner.
The Royals had jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Wilson Betemit’s two-run double in the sixth and an Irving Falu RBI single in the seventh. Betemit has driven in six runs in the first three games of the series. Omaha starter Anthony Lerew was solid again, going lasting 6.1 innings allowing two runs on four hits and no walks.
Omaha wraps up their first leg of their eight-game Nevada roadtrip with the series finale in Reno on Friday Night at 9:05 CDT. Royals right-hander Philip Humber (2-3, 3.93) battles against Reno right-hander Matt Torra (2-1, 2.57).
