Authorities now say alcohol was a contributing factor in a boating death last week. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has completed its investigation into the death at the Sherman County Reservoir on May 17th. Officials say 34-year-old Bennie Wright, of Loup City, was pronounced dead at the scene after the boat he was operating hit the dam at a high rate of speed. Wright’s blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit. It marks the second boating death in the Husker State this year.
